The object
Ian Callum designed the Jaguar F-Type Coupé, a compact production sports car that translated Jaguar's long-hood proportions into a modern aluminum-bodied form. Its distinct shape became the visual centrepiece of Jaguar's 2010s revival and remains one of the marque's most recognizable recent road-car designs.
What Ian did
Led Jaguar design for the F-Type Coupé, giving the production sports car its compact, rear-drive visual character.
Why it matters
Country Life described the F-Type Coupé as one of the prettiest production cars of the twenty-first century and identifies Callum as its designer.
Living-status check
Country Life reported in June 2026 that Callum designed the Jaguar Suite at Taj's London hotel, positive evidence he was alive and working in 2026.
